Last years winner local runner John MacKenzie broke clear early and was not headed to go on and win his second consecutive Traralgon Marathon in a fast time of 2:34:00. Perfect conditions were enjoyed by the 64 Marathon runners with 2000 winner Allambee runner Ian Cornwaite just holding of the fast finishing Peninsula Road Runner Dylan Dwyer from Northcote for second. In the ladies local triathlon champion Jodie Healey ran a well time race to win from last years winner Ashburton mother Rachel Stewart and Bells Beach runner Kerry Drever finished third.
In the Half Marathon 85 contestants saw Ringwood runner Alan Chilton run a fast 69:28 to win from Melton runner James Mundy and local Traralgon triathlete Jason Cheers. In the ladies local runner Rachel Gibney run 86:34 to hold out 14 year old promising Tyers athlete Peta Mullens and Brighton runner Julia Thorn.
In the Quarter Marathon 41 contestants saw local runner Rod Hansen run 38:40 to win from fellow local Daniel Rake and promising Junior Tyson Popplestone finished third.
In the ladies former top local junior Melissa Jones ran 44:05 to beat local top track athlete Delwyn Hewitt and Seville runner Kathryn Parker third.
